The candidate will plan human resources, providing essential tools and processes for smooth daily operations, and collaborate with senior leaders to develop a strategic vision for a B2B Sportsbook risk management function, setting KPIs for acceptable margins.

• Lead and cultivate a team through hiring, coaching, and mentoring, ensuring a highly engaged, performance-driven, and results-oriented environment.

• Plan human resources and provide the team with everything necessary to run daily operations smoothly including tools and processes.

• Collaborate with senior leaders to develop a strategy for a leading B2B Sportsbook risk management function, creating a vision and setting KPIs for acceptable Sportsbook margins.

• Instigate and manage a real-time bet acceptance process for partners and educate the team on best practices.

• Oversee the implementation and use of real-time bet monitors to develop and convey the betting ‘story’ of individual sports players through bet noting.

• Analyze and report on team members’ decision-making in real-time bet acceptance and player stake factoring, ensuring decisions are data-driven and correct.

• Possess knowledge in expected margin analysis and binomial distributions to develop better margin control strategies.

• Implement and agree on a risk matrix with partners, including limits for various sports and betting environments, ensuring real-time risk visibility, controls, and hedging options if needed, and conduct and execute hedging transactions when required.

• Develop and maintain a reporting suite for overall and individual player Sportsbook profitability, implement and distribute statistical data analysis, evaluation, and reporting on trading P&L performance as agreed with partners.

• Assess partner P&L/margin performance in different regions and explain variances based on trading mix and margin impact in various jurisdictions.

• Work closely with Trading Development, Product, and Technology teams to manage and prioritize a trading roadmap/backlog aligned with the risk management strategy.

• Raise and prioritize feature requests for risk management and margin control functionalities, and collaborate with Business Analysts on story writing.
